I recently had the opportunity to experience Wilson’s Abel Tasman Vista Coastal Cruise.

Check in and departure is from the beautiful seaside village of Kaiteriteri, approx. 45 mins from Nelson. The Vista Coastal Cruise offers one of the best ways to explore the stunning coastline of Abel Tasman and showcases the park's golden beaches, crystal clear waters, granite headlands, native forests and abundant wildlife.

Designed for comfort, the cruise featuring spacious indoor and outdoor seating, panoramic viewing areas, informative commentary and an onboard licensed café so you can sit back and relax while enjoying spectacular views of iconic locations such as Split Apple Rock, secluded bays and the park's famous golden sand beaches.

You can choose a scenic return cruise, combine the journey with a coastal walk or add kayaking adventures to experience the national park from both land and sea.

One of my personal highlights was the opportunity to see the full length of the Abel Tasman coastline from the water. Along the way, we were able to spot native birdlife, fur seals and other marine wildlife while learning about the area's natural and cultural history from experienced local guides. If you are lucky, you may even spot Dolphins or even whales!

Why we think Wilson’s Abel Tasman Vista Coastal Cruise is a great option for your clients:

  • Discover the full beauty of Abel Tasman National Park from the water – journey past golden beaches, crystal clear waters, granite headlands and secluded bays, with opportunities to spot fur seals, native birdlife, dolphins and occasionally whales - making the journey both fun and educational.
  • A relaxing experience for all ages – with spacious indoor and outdoor viewing areas, informative local commentary and an onboard cafe, this comfortable cruise is a fantastic way to experience Abel Tasman’s stunning coastline without the need for hiking or kayaking but with the flexibility to add it if you choose!
