Lake Taupo

Taupōnui-a-Tia

With a vast range of activities on offer, Lake Taupo is the destination for those ready to bask in some amazing natural wonders.

Lake Taupo boasts a range of high action activities, but also a multitude of things to do for those not seeking adventure. Popular year-round with both the lake and the mountains providing a breathtaking backdrop, Lake Taupo is guaranteed to delight.

Just north of Lake Taupo your clients can visit one of New Zealand's most popular attractions, the magnificent Huka Falls, where more than 220,000 litres of water thunder over the cliff face every second. Craters of the Moon shows visitors more evidence of the lake's fiery volcanic birth in the geysers, steaming craters and boiling mud pools. Swimmers and paddlers may even be able to find warm, geothermal water currents at some of Taupo's lakeside beaches.
